Artist Statement
As a synesthesia artist music is always intertwined into the canvas.
Once I match the music to my mood…or theme.
I choose the colors…
The subject usually is the last to form…
I have done a series of still life paintings…emotion based portraits…and various abstracts.
The main goal of my work is to paint bright beautiful paintings to offset the ugly I sometimes see in the world…
It’s a constant fight for balance…
My favorite theme is love and hope…
Occasionally I paint the truth of raw emotion…with little focus on the face…
more focus on the eyes…because there is where the truth shines through always.
But if there is hope…. I will always paint that.
